These last few days, I've been reviewing loads of polaroids, test shots, Instagram accounts (yes, I'm on it now) and went from the most challenging looks to more classical beauties. Among the second category, I've always have a soft spot for the concept of ''classic with a twist''. Meaning : an obvious mainstream appeal backed by a certain kind of edge that makes the difference, an ability to switch from commercial jobs to high fashion editorials. Over the last fifteen years models like Edita Vilkeviciute, just to name one of my favorites, have embodied this beauty type to the max. Everybody interested in fashion modeling will remember her skills go from widespread ad campaigns to Vogue to the most daring projects. You named it, she could do it (and actually still does). That's perhaps the kind of career I can wish to Oriane Tuffery. She may not have the same notoriety (yet) but surely got the potential to follow this specific scheme. Signed with New Madison (Paris) and internationally working with PMA (Germany) and Clear (Spain) among others, her roster is already interesting enough to be introduced here despite I haven't seen any digitals. Rather classical features indeed, but with that little je ne sais quoi that makes her looks eye-catching, almost tongue-in-cheek on some pictures. One I'll definitely keep on watching.
